Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Are you a friendly and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Join our team at Park Avenue Extended Care as a Receptionist, where your role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing a welcoming experience for residents, families, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the facility’s telephone system, receive and deliver messages, and maintain accurate logs.
  • Greet and direct visitors—issue passes, ensure proper screening, and maintain security procedures.
  • Answer inquiries in accordance with facility policy and refer callers to appropriate department heads.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of resident and facility information.
  • Accept and log mail, flowers, and packages, notifying staff for prompt pick-up.
  • Monitor entry/exit points; stay alert for security concerns and assist in maintaining a safe environment.
  • Understand and follow elopement prevention procedures; identify and respond to residents at risk.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of receptionist, clerical, or front-desk experience.
  • Nursing home or healthcare setting experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact courteously with residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate flexibility, and uphold integrity at all times.
